The writer of Hebrews describes our journey of faith as a race. And to encourage us in this race we have this “great cloud of witnesses,” who have gone on before us cheering us on. And, while they may not be witnesses of our lives, they are definitely witnesses to our lives. This “cloud of witnesses” could best be described as trailblazers and their stories show us what unwavering faith and trust in God looks like. Their stories fill us with courage to believe that with God all things are actually possible. In this series we’ll be pulling some of these trailblazers out of stands and allowing their stories to bring us some much needed wisdom for times like these.
