01.07-27.2024

As we enter into 2024, we’re taking 21 days to set aside the things of this world and focus on what God is saying and doing in this hour. I know that we typically do this every January and every fall, and that it would be easy to fall into the trap of going through the motions, but I want to strongly encourage you to resist that temptation and ask God the following question:

God, what are You asking of me?

Take some time and ask Him what He wants you to do during these 21 days of Seek. Maybe it’s a particular type of food or comfort fast you’ve never done before. Or maybe it’s committing to attend more prayer meetings and spend more time praying and diving into God’s Word. Whatever it is, listen to Him. He’s ready to do a new thing in your life and move like never before.

Let’s seek His face.

SEEK: 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

SEEK is a season at Radiant where we intentionally minimize the distractions and normal routines in our lives to hear God’s voice better and focus on what He is saying and doing. When we turn down the volume in our day-to-day lives, it has the supernatural effect of turning up the volume of God’s voice.

Every January, we host a SEEK 21 day  season that’s filled with daily prayer guides, corporate services, and church-wide fasting. Something powerful takes place when God’s people come together to lift up
one voice.

SEEK is designed for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to Radiant, if you’ve participated in  SEEK Week or 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting before, if you’re young or old, if you’re single or married with kids—we want you to be part of it.

Throughout this guide, you’ll find everything you need to know about SEEK, including specific daily prayer focuses and scriptures, our full prayer meeting schedule, and more. Parents, we even have daily prompts and activities to lead with your children.

Ask Him what He wants from you over these next 21 days.

SEEK Book

We’ve created a helpful book that contains everything you need to know about this SEEK season, including curated devotionals that align with each day’s prayer focus and scripture, our full prayer meeting schedule, and more. Parents, we even have weekly prompts and activities to lead with your families. Pick up your free copy and additional resources on Sunday morning and weekly prayer room gatherings.

SEEK Weekly Prayer Room Gatherings

Every Wednesday evening during Seek, we are hosting we invite you to join us in the Prayer Room. These gatherings will unite us at the corporate altar as we seek the face of God through worship and prayer. You won’t want to miss any of the nights.

And don’t forget, the Prayer Room is a great environment for your little ones and teenagers to experience the presence of God. We will have activities and “no noise” toys available for the little ones.

Every Wednesday 6:30pm

What is God Asking of You?

This SEEK, we’re inviting you to take time, prepare your heart, and ask God what He wants of you during these 21 days. Even if that means fasting longer than you’ve ever fasted, removing more comforts than you’d prefer, or taking time to pray early in the morning and late at night, we’re expecting God to move like never before in our
Radiant family.

Once you hear from God and have clarity on what this SEEK season will look like for you, we encourage you to write it down and share it with your community. Making your vision known to your Radiant Group, family, or friends is an excellent way to share what God is doing in your life and build accountability.

Four Ways to Engage During SEEK

1. Choose a Fast

Fasting is an invitation from the Lord for us to engage with Him in a heightened way. There is no right or wrong way to fast, and regardless of the type of fast you choose to participate in during Seek, it’s important to pray about what God is leading you to do, as well as consult a doctor and educate yourself if you have any questions or health concerns.

You can view all the ways to participate in our SEEK book linked at the top of the page.

2. Remove Comfort

We encourage you to set aside some of the comforts that consume your time and spend extra time seeking God’s face.

3. Pray and Intercede

Scripture teaches us that something unique and powerful happens when believers gather together in faith to seek God and cry out to Him with one voice.

4. Read the Bible

During these 21 days, carve out significant time to spend reading
the Bible.

What are altars?

The consensus you would get after a quick google search is that an altar is a piece of furniture, whether made of stone or wood, at the center of religious worship. These altars were a place of sacrifice, prayer, offerings, and more.

Historically, these altars were found only in the most holiest of places (the tabernacle, the temple, etc). And this tradition marked our faith. However, we believe that God’s intention was always for so much more. That He intended for there to be three sacred altars in each of our lives: the personal, the family, and the corporate.

Throughout the history of our faith, we see that God showed up over and over again when He was at the center of each of these altars. Sadly, so much of our church history has shown that while God largely remained at the center of the corporate altar, He had been replaced at the center of our homes and lives.

At Radiant Church, our passion is to move you from only having encounters with God on Sundays to encountering His presence every single day. This means insuring that God remains at the center of all three altars in our lives.
